There are several different ways to clean stains up by just simply using household products like rubbing alcohol, vinegar, lemon juice, detergents, and a variety of other things you use every day. You just have to know the right way to use the products. Here are some tips on cleaning up pet stains and other common stains.
Cleaning Up Pet Stains
First you could try mixing one teaspoon of household ammonia to a half
cup of cold water. You could put it in a spray bottle or put it right on
the carpet. It is important not to get the back of the carpet wet when
you put the solution on it. Than take a paper towel and pat the spot and
let it dry the rest of the way.
Second you could use a mixture of 1/4 teaspoon of detergent or hand soap to one quart of water. You should make sure the soap doesn’t have any bleach or lanolin in it that could ruin the carpet.
Third and the best choice is to just use water it can dehydrate the stain to help remove it. Most pet stains can be cleaned by using a steam cleaner. After your done make sure you clean the area as well as you can.
Cleaning up Ink stains
1. You can get isopropyl rubbing alcohol at a department or grocery
store.
2. Apply it by pouring some onto a clean white towel or cloth. You can
also use paper towels if they are white.
3. Blot the stain as much as you can until it is removed.
4. be careful, because if the stain is small, you will need to blot in
one direction so you don’t spread the stain.
Cleaning up Beer and wine stains.
1. Mix one part white vinegar and one part water.
2. Apply the mixture to the stain by using a spray bottle.
3. Allow the solution to set for ten to fifteen minutes.
4. Clean up the stain using a sponge and cleaning in a rubbing motion.
5. Than Rinse the area using warm water.
6. Brush the carpet back to its natural direction.
7. Take a few white paper towels, and place them on the spot and apply
some weight and let it sit until it's dried.
